Leonard Prom was born November 6, 1900, on a farm near Harvey. He was the son of Hubert and Margaret Prom.

Leonard married Catherine Sauer November 10, 1924 (1925?). Catherine died in 1930. They had no children.

He married Alma (Engelhard) Sauer January 20, 1931 at St. Henry's Catholic church near Foxholm. In 1940 they purchased a farm southeast of Harvey. He retired in 1965 and continued to live on the farm with his son.

Leonard and Alma had six children:
