Born in Upper Canada. Son of Sarah Leutz and William Doan(7), Titus(6), Titus(5), Elijah(4), Daniel(3), Daniel(2), Deacon John Doane(1). He was a farmer. Married 30 Mar 1840 to Catharine Christina House. Officiant: Samuel Baker, Regular Baptist Church; Witnesses: Titus Doan, John Whitesell. 11 Jan 1882: Sold E25 Acres of SW quarter of Lot 13 Conc 6 Yarmouth to John McVey. At one time had the first farm east of Mapleton on the south side. Turned over to sons, Titus and Lewis. Found documentation listing burial at St. Thomas Cemetery and Orwell Cemetery. Duplicate memorial.
