Theodate was born at the Wrightsborough, Ga Quaker colony. You will find a record of her birth in the Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy. Vol I (North Carolina) IIRC.

Her Parents were

James Vernon
1751–1785
Martha Content Hodgin
1754–1785.

but no graves have been located for them. Most early Quakers did not believe in labeling graves and most Wrightsborough graves are unmarked.

Theodate's name has been passed down through the Bachiler, Hussey, Hodgin families (and others). Her 3rd GGM Theodate Hussey nee Bachiler (1596-1649) was one of the original Puritans that escaped from England to Hollard and later to America. I am doubly related to her via the Hussey family and via her 2nd GGM Rebecca Hussey nee Perkins.

Theodate's siblings were:

Amos Vernon
1773–1815

James Vernon
1775–1815

Robert Vernon
1777–1859

Solomon Vernon
1779–

All born at Wrightsborough colony Ga and I THINK the dates are correct.

Joe 2nd cousin, 6x removed.
