WAGAR.--Mrs. Wm. Wagar, whose maiden name was Emily Draper, was born in the Township of Cramahe, over 70 years ago. When about twenty years of age she married W. T. Wagar, of Fredericksburg, and came with her husband to Camden, then an almost unbroken forest. After spending a few years on another lot, they finally settled on Lot 34, in the 6th Concession, where she spent the rest of her life and where she died, Jan. 25th 1888. Mrs. Wagar was an obliging neighbor, a kind and loving mother, an unchanging friend, an earnest and consistent Christian. For a number of years she had been in poor health, and for some time has been a great sufferer, but she ever bore it with Christian resignation. For nearly fifty years she was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She leaves behind her to mourn their loss, besides her husband, ten children, forty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Notwithstanding the bad condition of the roads and the severity of the weather a large number of neighbors and friends assembled at the funeral to pay their last respects to her memory.
