CHESTER - More details have emerged in Friday's arrest of a Chester mother, accused of child neglect resulting in the the death of her infant son.

The mother, Amanda Dawn Goodman, 32, resided at 500 Fairview Road in Chester. She's been formally charged with child neglect resulting in death and is currently being held at Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville.

The 4-month-old infant, Brandon Allen Burchett, died Feb. 1 and was found to be living in what law enforcement officers are calling deplorable living conditions.

An autopsy on the infant indicates the child's death was due to severe neglect.

After the autopsy report was finalized, Goodman was arrested.

Two other, older, children who were living at the 500 Fairview Road home were removed and placed with child protective services.

Goodman is expected to make a court appearance Monday.
