Ramon was the youngest child of Pablo and Apolonia Madrid Enriquez Telles. From 1898 to 1921, he was a miner in the Morenci, Arizona, copper mines. The family bought a house in Burbank, at 77 Santa Anita, where their children finished their growing years, well provided for by their father's labor.
