Florence Hobson, 74, 1594 S. Road 560 West, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 1995, at Community Northview Health Care in Anderson.

She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Kokomo, a daughter of Ralph F. and Maybelle (Clawson) Robbins. March 10, 1940, she married Everett B. Hobson, who died Feb. 23, 1994.

She retired as manager from Kingston Federal Credit Union. She had worked at Saint Joseph Hospital & Health Center in data processing. She was also a farm wife. She graduated from New London High School in 1938 and attended Business College. She was a member of New London Friends Church near Russiaville. She had lived around the Russiaville area for 45 years after moving here from Wabash, where she and her husband had lived for six years.

Surviving are three sons and their wives, Richard W. and Sharleen Hobson, Missouri, Everett Keith and Sheila Hobson, Albany, Wis., and Jeffrey S. and Janet Hobson, Anderson; one sister, Frances Hughes, Lebanon; eight grandchildren, Shelly Johnson, Brad Hobson, Dennis Hobson, Jennifer Hobson, Jared Hobson, Michael Hobson, Janelle Hobson, and Melissa Hobson; and one great-grandchild, Deanna Johnson.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Jesse Robbins and Wayne Robbins, and two sisters, Arlene Beck and Carolene Riemke.
