" Published in The Troy Times, October 24, 1902:
Elizabeth Cipperly, widow of Levi Cipperly, died Wednesday evening at the family residence, 131 Second Street. Mrs. Cipperly's death was anticipated, as she had been in feeble health for more than a year. The deceased was the daughter of Peter Fonda, as she was born in New Scotland eighty-two years ago. At the age of four she came to this city with her family and she had resided here since. The deceased was a woman of strong Christian character, always ready to assist in any work for the cause of charity or religion, and during her entire life she was a devout member of the Park Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cipperly is survived by one daughter and two sons, Edward L. and Dr. John H. Cipperly. Two brothers, James R. Fonda of Troy and Peter Fonda of Oswego, also survive."
