Bratton, David Leon

BRATTON - Our family announces with great sadness that David Leon Bratton, born May 29, l929, in Emporia, Kansas, passed away on July 20, 2005. David is survived by his wife Nancy [md. Feb 1974]; stepson Ted (Tomoko); close family members in the United States; and many extended family and friends throughout North America. All will forever miss his unbounded love and optimism he shared about life. David personified the friendship that exists between the two great countries of Canada and the United States. David graduated from Emporia High School and Kansas University. He served in the US Navy as a pilot during the Korean conflict, and later in life moved to Montreal, Canada, where he married. During his retirement years in Vancouver, Canada, he returned to America many times, including frequent trips to the State of Kansas and Lynden, Washington, two places he particularly loved. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the BC Lung Association at www.bc.lung.ca or the Union Gospel Mission at www.ugm.bc.ca.
