MRS. NANCY JANE ALLEN - May 2, 1929

Nancy Jane Holt was born at Rock Creek, Alamance county, North Carolina, November 20, 1853, and moved to Havana, Kansas, in 1905, later to Sedan, Kans. She departed this life at the home of her son Rex Allen of Havana, May 2, 1929, at the age of 75 years, five months and 12 days.

She was united in marriage to Oliver N. Allen, January 12, 1873. To this union were born ten children, Howell of Farlington, Kansas, Leanna Bain of Haw River, North Carolina, Argie Shepard of Turley, Oklahoma, Harrison of Reidsville, N. C., Berlen of Fort Worth. Texas, Rex of Havana and Dewey of Sedan, Kans. February 14, 1922, Dewitt preceded his mother to the great beyond, also two girls in infancy. All of the children were at the bedside to the last except Harrison and Leanna.

She united with the Methodist church at Rock Creek, N. C., in early life.

She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, seven children, twenty nine grandchildren, seven great grand children and a host of friends.

The pallbearers were the three Sons, Berlin, Rex and Dewey, and three grandsons, Roaeoe and Clifton Ingold and Tyson Shepard.

Services were held in the Methodist church at Havana by Rev. Stewart, and burial in the Havana cemetery.
