Myra Amanda (Hitchcock) Fowler was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Luke and Jane Eliza (Birdsall) Hitchcock. She was the 2nd wife of Rev. Bishop Charles Henry Fowler. They were married in 1868. He died March 20, 1908. Rev. Bishop Fowler was elected a Bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1884.
