Reverend Harold Trahan, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Ardoin, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Eldridge Joseph Ardoin and the former Elmae Lejeune both of Basile, Louisiana. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Beverly Cormier Ardoin of Lafayette; one son, Paul Jude Ardoin and wife Janet of Lafayette; grandson, Jacob Ardoin and granddaughter, Julia Ardoin. He graduated from SLI now University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1960. After college, he served in the U. S. Army where he served in Korea. He then worked in the oil industry for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Orville Ardoin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Sunday evening in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Ardoin, Gerald Richard, Dr. Oran Toce, Ted Clark, Darvey Dupuy, and Richard Cain.
In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Ste. 200, Lafayette, La 70503.
