PFC Monte Dearl Brooks was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, PFC Brooks served our country until January 25th, 1966 in Binh Dinh Province, South Vietnam. He was 23 years old and was not married. It was reported that he was killed along with 45 others, when a plane he was a passenger in crashed. He was born in Tarboro, Edgecombe County, NC, on May 6th 1942. His body was recovered. PFC Brooks is on panel 4E, line 086 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
