~C. P. ANGELTON DIES FOLLOWING SHOOTING IN BEAVER HOTEL ROOM

C. P. 'Com' ANGLETON, resident of Forgan and vicinity for nearly 25 years, was murdered in his hotel room at Beaver Monday afternoon by Ben Bogue, hotel owner, who later shot himself through the head.

According to a statement made by the County Sheriff Ford Householder, Bogue confessed to the slaying before taking his own life while the sheriff was in an upstairs room examining ANGLETON's body and looking for the murder weapon.

Funeral services for ANGLETON were held at Forgan Tuesday afternoon and burial made in the Forgan cemetery.~OBITUARY OF COMMODORE PERRY ANGLETON

Commodore Perry ANGLETON was born in Shelby County, Indiana, September 01, 1873, and departed this life at Beaver, Oklahoma, August 08, 1938.

He came with his parents to Butler County, Kansas in 1883. He was married to Gwen KNOX in 1897 and to this union three children were born; Archie who preceded him in death; Isca Mayo and Robert ANGLETON both of Forgan.

He, with his family, moved to Forgan in 1912 and was engaged in business for several years. Since that time he has lived in and around Forgan. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Gwen; two children, Isca May and Robert ANGLETON; three brothers, William of Eldorado, Kansas, Albert of Towanda, Kansas, John of Forgan, and two sisters, Mrs. Mac THOMAS of Toronto, Kansas and Mrs. Charley DAVIS of Burns, Kansas, four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
