U.S. Congressman. Born in Throop, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Villanova University with B.A. and B.S. degrees. With the advent of World War II, he enlisted as a Private in the 30th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, and was discharged as a Captain. After the war, he served as supervisor of Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, was a member of the North Pocono Joint School Board for ten years, and was commissioned an officer at the Adjutant General's Officer Candidate School, Fort Washington, Maryland. In 1959, he was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-sixth Congress, serving until 1961. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he served as a member of the Board of Assessment Appeals, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, and as Director of Veterans Affairs. He died at age 68 in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania.
