Terzah was the daughter of John DuVall and Lydia Millison.

Terzah Duvall bore Nathan Evans' first son out of wedlock. Though Nathan always loved and acknowledged his son, and wanted to marry Terzah, she would not marry him or give his surname to their son, Nathan Duvall.

Terzah raised her son alone, and never married until Nathan Evans had been widowed for the second time. She then consented to marry her childhood sweetheart, when their son was 34 years old!
