Myra E. Jackson

Myra E. Jackson, 74, Logansport, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.

The daughter of Arthur and Harriett Wells Binney, she was born July 7, 1935, in Logansport. She married Jim T. Jackson on Dec. 30, 1956 in Logansport.

She retired from Personal Finance where she was a secretary.

Myra attended Logansport High School. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, camping, mushroom hunting, and reading. She was a member of Center Presbyterian Church in Lake Cicott.

She is survived by her husband, Jim T. Jackson, Logansport; sons, Jim L. Jackson and wife Tammy and Mike W. Jackson and companion Tammy Simpson, all of Logansport; grandsons, Chris Jackson, who is currently stationed in Afghanistan, and wife Diana, Albuquerque, N.M., Sean Jackson, Logansport, Drew Jackson, Flora, and Nathan Jackson, Logansport; brother, Ronnie Binney and wife Libby, Logansport; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Saddie, Logansport.

She was preceded by a sister, Phyllis Williams; and three brothers, Jim Binney, Tom Binney and Jerry Binney.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Kelymann officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Center Presbyterian Church in Lake Cicott.
