Mrs. Goldie Mann Bailey, 75, of South Point, Ohio, died Monday night at a Huntington hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Burlington United Methodist Church by the Rev. Earl Scott Mann, and the Rev. Fred Luzader. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington. She was born Sept. 6, 1901, in Mason County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Ellen Rowsey Beard. She was a retired Lawrence County school teacher and a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church. Her first husband, Milton Mann, died in 1925. She later married Curtis D. Bailey, who died in 1967. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ward, of South Point; four sons, Britton Mann, Milton Mann, Ray Bailey and Donald Bailey, all of South Point; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Haugh of Daleville, Ind.,Mrs. Hazel Ashby, of Ypsilanti, Mich., Mrs. Mabel Brammer, of South Point and Mrs. Mildred Rowsey of Huntington; two brothers Gilbert and Kenneth Beard, both of South Point; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Harry, Raymond and Willie Beard. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Schneider Funeral Home.
