Funeral for Martha Davenport Glaze, 84, of Athens will be today, April 17, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Daniel Metcalfe officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Glaze died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Marvin Glaze; and one daughter, Marvalin Rose Glaze.
Survivors include one daughter, Janett Blackwood of Athens; two sons, Buford Glaze of Decatur and Phillip Glaze of Athens; one sister, Rebecca Leopard of Athens; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
