My grandmother, Bertha, was born in Rauden, Germany the eldest of eleven children.

She, with her parents Gottfried and Gottliebe (Murawski) Sabotta, came to the United States in 1891.

Bertha was the wife of Emil Adalbert Schmincke; and mother of, among others, Herman, Tillie, Margarethe, Edna, Nora, Fred, Ott, Harold, Ed and Dot
