Wittensville resident, Emogene "Jean" Arrowood, 67, died Thursday, January 20 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Arrowood was born January 22, 1926, in Johnson County, the daughter of the late Dewey and Wilda LeMaster McClure.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Leonard "Dogwood" Arrowood, Jr., one son, Greg Arrowood of Gadsden, AL; three brothers, Ruel and Chester McClure, both of Wittensville, and Charles McClure of Catlettsburg; and four sisters,Ruby Rice of Pace, FL and Betty McClure,Billie Stinson and Dordena O'Bryan,all of Wittensville.
Funeral services were held Saturday,January 22 at the First Baptist Church,with Drew Martin officiating.
Burial was in Wells Cemetery at Paintsville,with Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, January 26, 1994
