Brownville: May 17, 1883 issue
Died Mrs. Amanda Morrill, wife of Col. W.G. Morrill of Dexter, was brought to this place for burial, and the funeral held on May 18.
Dexter:
The wife of Col. W. G. Morrill died at the Exchange Hotel Saturday last and her remains were taken to Brownville for interment. The Colonel has the sympathy of an extensive lot of friends in his bereavement.
Published in the Piscataquis (ME) Observer 7 Jul 1870 p 2: "MARRIED---In Brownville, June 24th, by Rev. L. C. Dunn, Col. Walter G. Morrill to Miss Amanda Berry, all of Brownville."
