Born Elijah Alfred Alexander, III, he attended Dunbar High School in Fort Worth, Texas and played collegiate football at Kansas State University. While with the Wildcats, he lettered four-times and served as captain of their 1991 team. Selected by Tampa Bay during the 10th round of the 1992 NFL Draft, he appeared in 123 career regular season games, recording 5 interceptions for 62 yards with 1 touchdown. He died following a lengthy battle with cancer.
