She was the daughter of Joyce Merrill Reid and the late Jack Reid; and Melvin Gray.
Cathy was a homemaker who enjoyed genealogy, and was a member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church. She loved her pride and joy, her granddaughter, Adysen Griffith.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Eddie Griffith of Greenville; a son, J.D. Griffith; a daughter, Stacy Dean and her husband Duane; and one granddaughter, Adysen Griffith, all of Greenville.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at Grand View Memorial Gardens with visitation prior to the service from 12 Noon – 2:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The family will be at the home of her mother, Joyce Reid, 205 W. DeCatur Street, Greenville.
