MACON – Ann G. "Maw Maw" Williams, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Kelly officiating. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono and may be contacted at the residence of Glenda Cope. While flowers are accepted, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Diabetes Association of Middle Georgia, 770 Pine Street, Suite 500, Macon 31201-7578.
Mrs. Williams, wife of the late James F. Williams, was born in Younker, GA (Dodge County) the daughter of the late Watson and Viola Holland Greene. She has lived in Macon most of her life and was a supervisor retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mrs. Williams was of the Baptist Faith and was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors.
A fun sister and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her memory will be treasured by those who loved her most…her children, Brenda Borum, Glenda Cope and Gary Williams, all of Macon and Linda Hernandez of Ocala, FL; her sisters, Georgia Wynne of Cochran and Nell Floyd of Pine Mountain; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
