She married (1) Rudger Judd Clawson 12 August 1882 in the LDS Endowment House at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.
Her husband became a polygamist with his second marriage to Lydia Spencer 29 March 1883, also in the Salt Lake Endowment House. He was convicted of co-habitation and served three and a half years in the Utah State Penitentiary. He was later pardoned.
Florence had given birth to their son, Rudger Elmo Clawson 3 January 1884 at Salt Lake City. She and Rudger divorced prior to 1897.
Florence married (2) A widower, Richard Phillips Morris, 13 October 1897 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.
Her only child with Clawson, Rudger Elmo, died 19 April 1898.
She was recognized as being a wife of an apostle of the LDS Church; however, Rudger Judd Clawson did not become an apostle until 10 October 1898, more than a year after their divorce.
