Thomas W. Behn was born May 19, 1888 in Hempstead, Texas, the fifth of 12 children born to John Mosley Sr. and Nancy Hanks Bramlett Behn.

Preceding him in death was his father, John Mosley Behn, Sr.; three brothers, Arthur, Charlie and Samuel Behn; and one sister, Alverta Behn Watkins.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Nancy Behn of Dallas, TX; eight brothers: George, Henry, J.E., Prince (Albert), John Mosley, Jr., Lurain (Leroy), General Eckie, and Mosley Leonard; three sisters: Mattie Jones, Addie Miller and Julia Barbara Behn; many, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
