Wednesday funeral honors Maude Robertson, 92

Maude Bowers Robertson, 92, died of cancer July 2 at the home of her daughter in Midvale.

She was born Oct. 3, 1896 in Nephi to Abraham James and Christina [sic] Sinclair Bowers. She married John Edward Robertson in Salt Lake City Aug. 8, 1918. He died Sept. 28, 1975.

She and her husband ran Robertson's Lodge in Nephi for 40 years. She was a member of the Nephi Lady Lions and the Ladies Literary League. She was a member of the LDS Church and a counselor in a Primary presidency. She also served in the Relief Society and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Survivors are three daughters, Alice R. Sparks of Midvale, Margaret R. Park of Sandy, and Roberta R. Binnall of American Fork; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona B. Mangelson of Levan and Joey B. Johnson of American Fork; and a brother, Maylon Bowers of Nephi.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Nephi. Interment was at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi.
