Chelsea was born on January 3, 1990, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Gloria Broomfield and Marcus Childrous. She worked as a housekeeper for the Mansion View Hotel.
She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, both of Springfield; brother, Deterrion Broomfield; sisters, Julie Watson, Cierra Watson, Dylieshia Watson, Fiona Broomfield, and Keevonshay Broomfield, all of Springfield; 4 half brothers and 3 half sisters; grandmother, Mary Broomfield of Springfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Angelina Broomfield; uncle, Jerry Broomfiel; and grandmother, Eartha Childrous.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, with Rev. Charles W. Tiner, Sr., officiating. Visitation one hour before service at the church. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery.
