Mrs. Catherine E. Riney, 71, of Quincy, Ill., died Sunday morning, Jan 25, at 2:10 in St. Mary's hospital, where she had been a patient since January 17. She had been a resident of Quincy 12 years. Mrs. Riney was born April 12, 1887, in Nebraska, a daughter of Louis and Amelia Hess Bick. She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic church. Her marriage to Frank T. Riney took place Nov. 29, 1911, in St. Patrick, Mo. Mr. Riney died June 7, 1953. Mrs. Riney was also preceded in death by a daughter, Agnes; a brother, Walter Bick; a sister, Mrs. Edith Riney, and three grandchildren. Surviving are 3 children, Leota of Quincy, Joe of Gorin, Mo., and Pat of Keokuk, Ia. Nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
