Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 13, for Mrs. Sam Tuley at the Baptist church in Canton, in charge of the Rev. J. P. Sansom, assisted by the Rev. M. D. Mulvania. Mrs. Tuley died Sunday, Jan. 11, at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 23 days. Music was furnished by Mrs. Mrvin Zenge and Mrs. W. B. Dodson, with Mrs. Earl Barkley at the piano. Pall bearers were Orange Gruber, Melven Gruber, Joe Parker, Elmo Tuley, Homer T. Kimberly and J. C. Wheeler. Interment was in Forest Grove cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Tuley, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Armstrong, was born October 19, 1857 in Hancock County, Illinois. On February 4, 1885, she was united in marriage to Samuel T. Tuley. They lived in Canton for many years. She united with the Baptist church early in life. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. James DeWitt, of near Canton; Ada Lee, at home, and Mrs. Arthur Kimberly, of near Monticello; two sons, Ernest, of near Canton; and Frank of Springfield, Ill.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and many other relatives.
