Mrs. Ora Eckenrode, aged 39 and widow of James Eckenrode, died suddenly last Saturday morning at her home on West Main Street after a short illness.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 am at the Porter-Schaub Chapel and Haven Hill Cemetery. Rev L. S. McKown, pastor of the Methodist Church was in charge.

The deceased is survived by one son, James and one daughter, Jane, both at home; one brother, Harry Palmer, of Olney; her mother, Mrs Lincoln Palmer of Olney and 2 sisters, Mrs. C. E. Hughes of Weiner, AR and Mrs. M. H. Steffy of Olney, IL.

Mr Robert E Baker was indicted for the murder of Mrs. Ora Eckenrode and her unborn child, after he gave her pills in an attempt to commit an abortion. Mr. Baker was living with Mrs Eckenrode after the death of her husband.
