Elisha Bigelow, second son of Eleazer Bigelow and Mary Fiske was 14 when the family moved to Westminster, Massachusetts. He was married in Lunenburg, Massachusetts on 1 December 1, 1757 to Sarah Goodridge, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Goodridge of Lunenburg. Elisha and Sarah settled in Westminster. Elisha was prominent in town affairs, serving as Assessor for several years. He also held other town offices. He inherited lot No.18 and two meadow lots from his father.

Elisha wrote his will on January 25, 1804. It mentions wife Sarah, sons Ephraim, Abijah, and Elisha, and daughter Sarah, wife of William Penniman. Son Elisha was appointed executor.

Biglow, Elisha, Westminster. Private, Capt. Elisha Jackson's co., Col. Asa Whitcomb's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, to Cambridge; service 6 l/2 days.

Capt. Elisha Bigelow,
who died Feb. 1st AD 1814:
in the 87th year of his age.
He was born at Watertown,
Jan. 11th AD 1728.

He was an industrious man, a friend and
professor of the Christian religion, an uniform supporter of good government, good laws,
and the faithful execution there of.
