Elmer Brookfield, 83, of Olney, died Monday at Broward Medical Center, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olney, with Rev. Fr. Donald Eichenseer celebrant. Visitation will be from the Summers Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited. Interment will be in St.Joseph Cemetery, Olney.

Mr. Brookfield was born March 1, 1895 in Richland County, son of John Brookfield and Mary Klingler Brookfield.

He married Ruth Snively June 16,1931.

He was a retired salesman for the Electrolux Company, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Olney American Legion, Olney Council of Knights of Columbus, and a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth of Olney; a sister, Henrietta Brookfield of Olney; a brother, Ephriam Brookfield of Olney.

Mr. Brookfield was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edmond Brookfield; and four sisters, Bertha Kocher, Sister Pientia, Sister Prudentia and Sister Latetia.
