Harley Mead sometimes spelled Meed or Meade was the son of Sanford Mead and Anna Everetts. He married Elizabeth Harding in 1845 in Brookville,PA. He was taken prisoner in June 1864 at Petersburg,VA and died at Andersonville in Sept. 1864, he left his widow with 5 children.
