Daughter of Philip Hedrick. Some records say Philip was married to an unknown woman and they had Margaret. She died and then he married Louviecy?,who came to America from Switzerland and married Philip as his 2nd wife. She was known as Aunt Polly and was a doctor of sorts. When Philip died she continued to doctor in the Henry county, Indana area until she died a few years later. Margaret married John Adam Berger, 23 Dec 1799, in Pittsylvania County, PA. They had 12 children: Mary Ellen, Elizabeth, Susannah, Katherine, Charolotte, Darius, Lucy Jane, Enos, Ulysses, Nancy Jane, Achilles & Christina. She was my 3rd great- grandmother. Her daughter Nancy Jane was my 2nd. KAy Anderson contributor.

The house, in Lewisville, that the Berger's built, now sits at Conner Prairie, near Noblesville, IN. It was disassembled, each piece numbered, rebuilt at Conner Prairie, and is now called the Blacksmith's Home, and is part of the tour.
