HAROLD DEAN MARTIN
Harold Dean Martin, of Haviland, Kansas, known as "Buddy" by one and all, departed this life at the Larned, Kansas hospital on May 1, 1945, where he had been taken for surgical treatment. He was seriously ill but a very short time. Buddy was born in Attica, Kansas on August 13, 1938. He was just 6 years, 8 months and 18 days old.
Buddy leaves to mourn his departure his father and mother, Lysle and Bessie Martin, four sisters, Claudine, Peggy, Helen and Cora Lea, all of Haviland; two brothers, Raymond of Haviland and SSgt Bobby Joe, of the 15th Air Forces, somewhere in Italy.
Family and friends from Haviland, Attica, Kinsley, Pratt, Harper, Anthony, Sharon and Walnut gathered at the Attica Methodist Church for services. Burial was in the Attica Cemetery.
