Woodie Mae Armstrong, the daughter of Junius Milton and Mary Isbell Armstrong, was born in Hopkins County, Texas on the 3rd of June of 1893. She was a member of the Shooks Chapel United Methodist Church. On the 4th of January of 1914 in Shooks Chapel, she married George Harriss. Woodie Mae died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday the 1st of March of 1972 in Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs. Funeral services were held on Friday, the 3rd of March in the Tapp Funeral Home with The Reverend Cecil Ray and The Reverend Max Watson officiating. Interment was in the Shooks Chapel Cemetery.
