"Leo Ansley was one who met every adversity in life with determination to overcome it, and he did; when things looked the darkest he fought the hardest."1 He was a baker and businessman having two Bakeries one in Gainesville Texas and one in Frederick Oklahoma during the period 1928-1946. His trademark, Ansley's Golden Crust Bread, had a stick of candy put into each loaf of bread. After selling his backeries, he got involved in the development of residential property in Gainesville.
1. This is a quote and information of Leo's daughter, Phyllis Jean Ansley Griffin, from her Book, A History of Descendents: William Ansley and Thomas Ansley, Volume I.
