Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Sarah Louisa (Lyde) Wright, aged 76, a native of Greene County, who died Friday, April 14, 1944, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. H.(Rosa) Hively, of Spencer, W. Va. Burial was at Reedy, W. Va.
A daughter of Thomas H. and Nancy Myers Phillips, she was born in Wayne Township, Greene Co., PA. She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Jesse C. Wright, of Charleston, W. Va.; Ross Wright, of Saegerstown,PA and Mrs. Rosa Hively, at whose home she died. Also surviving are four brothers: S. Ross Phillips, Thomas C. Phillips and Jobe Phillips, all of Waynesburg; A. Elza Phillips, of Spraggs, and one half-brother, Jacob S. Phillips, also of Spraggs. There are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
