Funeral services for a pioneer Olney woman, Mrs. Ben Schlegel were held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with Rev. R.C. Gauger, pastor, officiating.
On 26 December 1906, she married Ben Schlegel in Iowa Park.
The family moved to Olney in 1909 and she has lived here since that time. She was a lifetime member of the Lutheran church.
Survivors: five sons - Wilbert, Martin, Harvey, Richard, all of Olney, Norbert of Meridian, TX; two daughters - Mrs. E.M. Philipp and Mrs. Henry Seedig of Olney; three sisters - MRs. W.F. Poll of Valley Mills, Mrs. Tela Agricola of Olney, Mrs. Otto Grueger of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
