George Bernard "Bernie" Dunn, age 71, of Loogootee, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 19, 1990 at the Jasper Memorial Hospital, following an illness of 1½ months.

He was born November 9, 1918, in Daviess County to the late Frank and Margaret (Walker) Dunn. He first married Ann Arvin, in October 1939 and she died in 1951. He then married Clara Gentry on February 23, 1952 and she survives.

He was a retired bridge construction worker and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Loogootee and the American Legion Post No. 150 of Loogootee.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Mary Sue) McCurry, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Mark (Nancy) York of Galson, Texas; and Georgia Burress, of Montgomery; one son, Joe Dunn, of Loogootee; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Strange of Loogootee, Mrs. Cleo Strange of Brazil, Indiana and Mrs. Delphia Spoonmore of Indianapolis.

Two brothers and three sisters have also preceded him in death.

Funeral services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery with the American Legion Post 120 according full military rites.

Friends may call from 2 till 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 21 at the Titzer Funeral Home in Loogootee.

A Parish Rosary will be held at 7:00 Wednesday evening.
