August Ninnamann of the town of Westfield, died at the Municipal Hospital on Saturday afternoon, July 6, from injuries he received when he fell through a hay chute at his home, 3 miles southwest of Loganville, a few hours before. He was 73 years of age. The men on the farm had been hauling hay into the barn in the morning and stopped at noon for dinner. As soon as Mr. Ninnamann had finished his dinner, he hurried back to the barn before the others arrived. In some way he slipped and fell down the hay chute while alone in the barn. When the other men arrived they found him lying on the floor groaning and rushed him to the hospital here.
He is survived by his wife, a son Eddie at home and a daughter, Mrs. Henry Beckman of Westfield. Also four stepchildren; Mrs. Albert Schulz, Mrs. August Hasse, Herman Lopau and Albert Lopau, all of Loganville. One brother John Ninnamann and a sister Mrs. Will Egerer of Ableman. Eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The funeral was held on Tuesday at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 at St. Peters of Loganville. Services were conducted by the Rev. Carl Stubenvoll. Burial in the church cemetery.
