Jacqueline M. Skylar, 76, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008. She was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Downey, Calif., and was a 39 year resident of Las Vegas. Jacqueline was a prima ballerina and danced the lead in Madame Butterfly. She also danced staged productions with Johnny Mathis and others. Jacqueline was married to Sonny Skylar, songwriter. She also retired from the Stardust Hotel as a restaurant manager. Jacqueline has always had the total love of her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Williams; and her brother, Robert (Sonny) Williams. She is survived by her husband, Sonny Skylar; sisters, Billie Ketchum and Pat Sailor; daughter, Stephanie (Stevie) Hayes, Debbie Meek and Pam Lasick. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, with service to follow at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Donations may be made to Safe Nest.
