He had the clothes on his back and a 15"x9"x5" suitcase which is now full of geneology documentss. He meet Edna in Toronto and they married on August 18, 1926. Sam moved to Chicago on November 6, 1927 with Edna following a few weeks later. Sam was employed for many years in boiler maintenance at Wilson Meat in Chicago. He purchased his first car at the age of 60.
