Professional baseball player 1876-1877. Played for the New York Mutuals and the Louisville Grays. Played for the Troy Haymakers 1871, Baltimore Canaries 1872 & 1873, Philadelphia Whites 1874, Philadelphia Centennials and the Philadelphia Athletics 1875.

Player/manager for the Troy Haymakers in 1871, the Baltimore Canaries in 1872, the Philadelphia Centennials in 1875 and the New York Mutuals in 1876.

He was expelled from the major leagues in the infamous Louisville gambling scandal in 1877.
