D. P. Addington, a jeweler was shot to death Tuesday night in front of the postoffice at St. Paul. Bob Harman, prohibition officer, former chief of police at St. Paul, was arrested shortly after the shooting and is being held charged with the murder.

As Addington was passing the door of the postoffice building he was approached from the opposite side by Harman. When a few feet from Addington Harman is said to have pulled a thirty-two calibre revolver and emptied it. Addington was shot seven times, the bullets entering his face, head and abdomen.

A bitter feeling between Addington and Harman had existed for several months. Addington leaves a widow and six children, the oldest being 18 years of age.
