She was born July 22, 1915 in Mussey Township, the daughter of the late Edward and Emma Kehn Behnke.
Her marriage to Ervin J. Meier was in Mussey Twp. Mr. Meier died November 20, 1950.
She later married Herbert Behnke and his death occurred in 1967.
Surviving is a son, Gerald "Jerry" Meier of Jefferson, Georgia and grandchildren, Deborah Gunter of TN, Gerald Jay Meier of Florida, and Barbara Meier of Easton, MD; great-grandchildren, Jessica Tackett, Jennifer Sefontes, Caterina Meier, Eric Walsh and Phillip Meier; great-great-grandchildren, Cloey A. Tackett, Reina and Nelson Sefontes; her siblings, Ruth McCoy, Vera Miller, Merle McLaren, Robert and James Behnke and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by siblings Lois Schultz, Bernie Bellas Jack and Edward Behnke.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 10 at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Rev. Dale Brown, pastor of Zion United Methodist Church, Capac, officiated. Burial took place in Pine Hill Cemetery, Mussey Township.
