Sarah Katherine Little Everhart, 71, died peacefully at her home on Lake Gaston, Thursday, June 17th. Mrs. Everhart was born Oct. 28, 1938 in Richmond County to the late James Leak Little and Lula Garris Little. She was a church secretary where she served the First Baptist Church in Kernersville and Ogden Baptist Church in Wilmington. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Leslie Allen, Jr. and two brothers, James Woodrow Little and William Patrick Little.
Surviving are her husband, Leslie A. Everhart of the home; one son, Jamie Everhart; two daughters, Lisa Bloodworth and husband Pat, and Joni Everhart; one brother, George Little; three sisters, Clara Whitehead, Betty Lou Garris and husband Jerry, and Nancy Averitte. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Patrick Bloodworth, and Kristen Cox and husband Steven.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to:
