Verne Lee Wilson, 37, of Waynesburg, died in the Greene County Memorial Hospital yesterday (Tuesday), November 16, 1943 at 4 p.m. from a heart ailment of several years duration. He was a well known employe of the Waynesburg Coca Cola Bottling Company and had spent all his life in this community. He was born September 15, 1906, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Fred and Emma Clark Wilson, and is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Cumpston, and the following children: Delores Jean, aged 12; Robert Lee, 10; Jack Raymond, 9; James Watson, 6; and Frederick Albert. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Fred Wilson, Baltimore, Maryland; Harwood Wilson, Waynesburg; Pfc. Charles Robert Wilson, stationed at the Army Air Base at Ephrata, Washington; Mrs. Edith Ruse, Carmichaels; and Mrs. Elizabeth Shultz, Waynesburg. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Waynesburg.
